THE SUPPORT SYSTEM STEERING COMMITTEE (S.S.S.C.)
*The Support System Steering Committee oversees operation of the entire Support System.
*The Steering Committee is made up of a majority of teachers and at least one administrator.
*The Steering Committee is responsible for assigning and training Support Team members.
*The Steering Committee is responsible for coordinating the delivery of resources and services to teachers and Support Teams.
*The Steering Committee approves Teacher Action Plans and Professional Renewal Plans and makes certification recommendations to the Commissioner of the Maine Department of Educational and Cultural Services (MDECS).
