Dear Parent / Guardian:
We are pleased to announce an educational opportunity in applied learning for your child that will take place on January 17th, 2023. The entire 8th grade class from LJHS will be visiting Mid-Maine Technical Center in Waterville for a tour and exploratory participation in classes there. They will also hear about the requirements to attend MMTC classes when they are in high school.
We are hoping that this experience will help these students see the connection between their academic efforts now with some possible career choices in the years to come. In this way our students may be encouraged to dream, identify possibilities, investigate and make good choices.
Buses will leave LJHS at approximately 8:40 a.m. and students will return in time for their regular lunch.
If you DO NOT want your child to join us, please complete and sign the slip below and have your child return it to the Guidance Office no later than Friday, January 12th.
